My works are mainly made with fabrics, on which sewn stones, pearls, shells, trimmings, rubber, beeswax, and propolis. These actions of sewing, adding, and subtracting elements go to compose bodies whose shapes emulate nature that suggested them: anatomies that recall organic matter. They are accompanied by videos showing these works in dialogue with the environment that inspired them. Nature and its contemplation are my artistic research’s main sources of inspiration. This exchange leads to a work that becomes an instrument of absorption, containment, transformation, and creation of a personal but at the same time universal language that resonates in the viewer: I would like to give back to the viewer the same experience that I have, in my moment of contemplation of nature.
